Face down sleeping position is one of the major risk factor for SIDS. A baby sleeping on its stomach has the risk of suffering SIDS. Hence, you must ensure to put your baby to sleep on his/ her back or side. Make sure that the bedding on which your baby sleeps is made of firm mattress. Make sure that the bedding is not very soft. Also do not use waterbeds.
