Now that summer is coming I feel like I want to be out in the garden doing things I love the warm evenings digging about and putting a few things in my window boxes. I have decided to go for a lovely splash of colour in most and put herbs as usual outside my kitchen window. Then I have some outdoor planters and I am going to put a selection of plants and vegetables in them. I have been reading how some plants stop slugs and snails eating the vegetable plants and so I am hoping that by carefully combining plants, I will not only get an unusual display but a great crop as well. However, my garden is mainly ornamental with a lovely patio area. I have recently got some new chairs and gooseneck lighting so we can sit out there on the warm evenings and read book while the sun sets. I even have some patio heaters so we can enjoy the fresh air even if it is not that warn outside.
